Mekong Moments I’ll Never Forget

(5.0)
Experience: 10 Days Best of Laos
“The two-day cruise from Huay Xai to Luang Prabang was one of the most relaxing travel experiences I’ve ever had. The Mekong has a way of slowing time — fishing boats gliding past, children waving from the shore, water buffalo grazing lazily. We stopped at Pak Ou Caves, where hundreds of Buddha statues stand in the dim light, and a tiny riverside village where we learned how local whiskey is made. “This three-day escape to Vientiane felt perfectly paced — not rushed, but packed with meaningful moments. Wandering through Vat Phra Keo and Vat Sisaket, I felt the weight of centuries as I stood among statues and relics. Pha That Luang, bathed in gold, seemed to pause time, while the view from the top of Patuxai gave me a fresh perspective on the Mekong and its cityscape. Ending a day at Talat Sao market was a sensory treat — vibrant stalls, handmade souvenirs, and the chatter of locals. Finally, the surreal Buddha Park offered a whimsical twist to it all, with its towering figures and giant pumpkin structure. Short, sweet, and unforgettable.”

“I wasn’t sure what to expect from Vientiane, but this tour was an eye-opener. The old temples like Vat Phra Keo had a peaceful, spiritual energy, while Pha That Luang felt like the soul of the country. Climbing Patuxai — the Lao version of the Arc de Triomphe — was a real highlight: the city spread out beneath me, framed by the Mekong. “Beginning with temple visits and ending in surreal sculpture gardens, this trip was a joy to fully absorb. Vat Sisaket’s ornate rows of Buddhas spoke volumes about Lao craftsmanship and care, while Pha That Luang’s gleaming stupa represented the nation’s heart. Patuxai was architecturally fascinating in its mix of French inspiration and Lao motifs. Talat Sao brought the city’s pulse to life with its bustling stalls. “As someone who normally prefers slow travel, I was skeptical about covering Vietnam from north to south in only a week. But this tour completely changed my view. It’s incredibly well-paced—you see the highlights, but you’re never rushed. Hanoi’s Old Quarter was lively and full of charm, Halong Bay was peaceful and surreal, and central Vietnam brought the cultural depth I wasn’t expecting.”

A meaningful journey!

(4.5)
“I chose this Vietnam itinerary 7 days because I wanted to see the main places without planning everything myself and I got much more than that. The itinerary covered the famous stops, but also added a lot of heart. Our guide didn’t just explain history; he shared personal experiences from growing up during wartime, and how things have changed over the years. That made places like the Cu Chi Tunnels and Hue Citadel hit harder. I didn’t feel like I was just ticking boxes I felt connected. The Halong Bay cruise and Hoi An night walk were beautiful, of course, but it’s those quiet human moments that stayed with me most.”

Experience: Vintage Vietnam
“Traveling to Vietnam with my family was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Exploring the bustling streets of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City together was a delight – we sampled delicious street food and even tried to bargain in the markets. One highlight of our trip was cruising through the mystical landscapes of Halong Bay. The kids were mesmerized by the towering limestone karsts and emerald waters, and we made memories to last a lifetime as we kayaked through hidden coves and explored remote islands. In Hoi An, we were charmed by the streets with colorful lanterns. We spent days wandering through the ancient town, admiring the architecture and indulging in local cuisine. Of course, no visit to Vietnam would be complete without exploring the rich history of the country. We were deeply moved by our visits to the Cu Chi Tunnels and the War Remnants Museum, where we gained insight into Vietnam's tumultuous past. But perhaps the most precious moments of our trip were the simple joys of spending time together as a family – whether it was sharing a meal at a roadside stall, watching a traditional water puppet show, or simply soaking in the beauty of Vietnam's landscapes. Traveling to Vietnam with my family was an enriching experience and one that we will cherish forever. It's a destination that truly has something for everyone, and we can't wait to return. Vietnam stole my heart

Experience: Vintage Vietnam
“My recent 10-day trip to Vietnam was a whirlwind of productivity and cultural immersion. The journey began in Hanoi, where I immersed myself in the chaotic yet charming atmosphere of the Old Quarter. I could wander through narrow alleyways, I stumbled upon hidden temples, vibrant markets, and experienced street food stalls. Each day brought a new culinary adventure for me, from steaming bowls of pho to crispy banh mi sandwiches, that's all awesome and strange! Next, I ventured to Halong Bay, where I boarded a traditional junk boat and sailed amidst the iconic limestone karsts. Kayaking through emerald waters and watching the sunset over the horizon was a surreal experience. And Hoian, Bana Hills, Eco Tour were the highlights of my trip, actually, I love all of the places in the itinerary.
