The Allied War Memorial Park, which is close to Htauk Kyan and serves as the final resting place for over 27,000 Allied soldiers, is a spot you can stop for a short while on your route.

Upon reaching Kin Pun, a quaint town nestled at the base of the mountain, transfer to a public local truck for an exciting journey up to the mountain top.

For those interested, there is an option to disembark at the midway point (Yeataetaung truck stop) and trek the challenging yet fulfilling paths to the summit (4 km - approximately 1 hour).

The trucks won’t leave until they are stocked with passengers; we kindly ask for your patience. Please note that you need to reach Kinpun at 5.30 PM at the latest to be sure to get a truck to the top.

Upon reaching the Golden Rock, one cannot help but be amazed by the radiant Golden Rock and the breathtaking scenery that envelops it.

It is believed that the pagoda at this site houses a strand of the Buddha's hair, attracting numerous Buddhists from across Southeast Asia who come here to pay their respects.

28 days, 4 countries, 1 unforgettable journey.

“From the streets of Hanoi to the temples of Chiang Mai, this tour covered it all. I especially loved Angkor Wat—it’s massive and majestic—and later, we balanced that with the simplicity of village life in Laos. The travel between countries was smooth, and the accommodations always clean and comfortable. Highly professional company!”

Chiang Mai was the peaceful ending I didn’t know I needed

(5.0)
“The first three weeks were full of movement—cities, temples, long drives—but when we reached Chiang Mai, everything slowed down. It was perfect. The old town, the night markets, and especially the elephant sanctuary made me feel at peace. Thank you, Asia Links Travel, for ending the tour with this gentle and beautiful city.”

“This wasn’t just a sightseeing trip—it was an immersion. We ate pho on tiny stools in Hanoi, met a monk in Laos who blessed our group, visited a landmine museum in Siem Reap, and watched the sun rise over Chiang Mai’s hills. I truly felt like we connected with the soul of each country. Our guides were incredible—funny, knowledgeable, and emotionally tuned in. Asia Links Travel coordinated everything with care. 28 days felt long, but in the best way.”

A truly unforgettable trip!

(4.5)
“Ha Long Bay, Angkor Wat, Kuang Si Falls, Chiang Mai’s Doi Suthep—all packed into one itinerary. And yet, nothing felt rushed. The tour had a natural flow, and I never felt overwhelmed. I loved the diversity: chaotic cities, serene countryside, powerful history, and peaceful spirituality. It’s hard to pick a favorite country because they each offered something unique. But I will say, ending in Thailand gave us the perfect soft landing—great food, relaxed energy, and charming locals. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see it all in one go.”

Four countries, one unforgettable journey.

“I spent years dreaming of seeing Indochina, and this 28-day tour was the most fulfilling travel experience of my life. From wandering the lantern-lit alleys of Hoi An to sailing through Ha Long Bay, meditating in Luang Prabang, and finally reaching Chiang Mai’s misty mountains—it was deeply enriching. Asia Links Travel struck a beautiful balance between guided discovery and personal downtime. I especially appreciated the attention to local detail: cooking with a Vietnamese host, learning about Buddhist practices in Laos, and visiting less touristy temples in Chiang Mai. Every place had its rhythm. This wasn’t just a vacation—it was a transformation.”
