Itinerary
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City!
As soon as you arrive at the airport, our friendly driver will be there to pick you up and take you straight to your hotel in the city. You can check in and relax (please keep in mind that the standard hotel check-in time is 2:00 PM. We'll do our best to arrange an early check-in for you if it's available).
During your stay, you'll be free to explore the city and enjoy the local cuisine. The time is yours. Feel free to discover by yourself or let us customize your trip!
Overnight stay in a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
8:00 AM: Experienced tour guide of Asia Links Travel picks you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and takes you on a one-and-a-half-hour bus ride to Cu Chi Tunnels. Once we arrive, we will show you an introductory video about the tunnels and how the Vietnamese people survived during the war.
After that, you will have time to explore the remaining areas and tunnel system. This includes special living areas with kitchens and bedrooms, as well as other facilities like weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers. You will also see many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps used for security purposes.
In the afternoon, we will visit Ho Chi Minh City - the former French colonial capital, also known as Saigon. We will visit some of the main historical sites, including the Independence Palace, Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House, and the famous Ben Thanh Market where you can find souvenirs.
Lunch and dinner on your own and overnight stay at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
At 8:30 AM, after leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, head towards My Tho, a town located on the left side of the Mekong River to start your Mekong Delta trip.
Upon arrival, explore the Vinh Trang Pagoda, which has stood since the late 19th century. Next, board a sampan and cruise down the river to visit the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands.
Stop over at Unicorn Island and take a stroll around the country lane, visit orchards, and enjoy tropical fruits while listening to the local folk song music. You can also visit a fruit plantation. Ride a hand-rowed sampan through the Thoi Son canal and take in the beauty of the countryside. Visit a family-run honeybee farm, where you can enjoy honey tea and learn how to make coconut candy.
Lunch on your own.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a cycling trip around the picturesque Tan Thach village. Here, you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with the friendly locals who reside in the village. You'll get to experience their daily life in the Mekong Delta, which promises to be a unique and eye-opening experience.
If you aren't up for cycling, you can always opt to relax on a comfortable hammock. You can soak up the cool breeze while taking in the scenic views that the village has to offer. This is an excellent way to unwind and recharge your batteries after a busy morning.
Later, take a drive to Can Tho, where you will spend the night at a hotel. Plan a relaxed evening in Can Tho to reflect on the day's experiences!

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. After that, take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River). Next, visit the Cai Rang floating market, which is the liveliest one in the entire region.
Once you've finished exploring, make your way back to Ho Chi Minh City. Check in at your hotel then take some time to relax after a long trip.

Time travel: Possible to travel all year around.
Rooms are available from 14.00 on arrival day until 12.00 on departure day, room supplement charge will be added for request of early/late check in/out.
Price for infants and children will be quoted as follow:
- Children under 2 years old: Free of charge (Maximum 1 child under 2 years old travels with 2 adults; from the second child, 50% of the regular fare will be applied)
- Children from 2 to 5 years old: 50% of the regular fare will be applied
- Children from 5 to 11 years old: 75% of the regular fare will be applied
- Children from 12 years: 100% of the regular fare will be applied
During Peak Season and special occasions, surcharges may be added to the price:
- Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Compulsory meals would be added during these times of the years, depends on hotels or resorts you will stay overnight.
- Vietnam Lunar New Year: 24 January – 27 January: Extra fee will be applied during holiday.
Visa requirements:
For Vietnam: You must have a valid passport and a visa (or pre-approval letter for a visa on arrival) to enter Vietnam. Our consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay, and you must have at least one blank page for each visa stamp.
