As soon as you arrive, our local driver is ready to catch and take you to your hotel in Vientiane – Lao attractive capital, which owns attractive monuments and the tranquil atmosphere on the riverside.
Have meals by yourself. Stay one night in Vientiane.
For the captivating capital of Laos, which is the beautiful mixed picture of Lao, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, Soviet culture, Vientiane, will make tourists spend a full day to enjoy.
Follow the schedule, we shall first visit to the most tourist attraction of all: the National Museum and Wat Sisaket – the greatest temple that still preserves its numerous silver and porcelain images through a long period of time, which also give you the best imagination about the past. Then, we will stop at Haw Phra Kaeo - the gigantic temple that is gorgeous inside out. The temple was built as Emerald Buddha’s home, its yard was full of frangipani trees.
When it turns to the afternoon, we shall browse at the Morning market’s older part and then heading for Pha That Luang. This magnificent gilded stupa is like a mirror and reflects the blue sky beautifully. After that, get ready for a sweaty journey when hiking the Arc De Triomphe of Laos, Patuxai. The building owns a gorgeous mosaic on the ceiling, when getting on top, the whole sight of Vientiane shall be reveal.
When it turns late in the afternoon, we shall head to Vang Vieng. By the time you arrive, check in at the hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Get your body warmed up by biking to the impressive caves of the region: Tham Phoukham. It is also known as the “Cave of the Golden Crab”, possesses secret corridors that fully decorated with magnificent array of stalagmites and stalactites.
Furthermore, the over 80 - meter - depth wells and underground lakes are mysterious feature that attracts tourists. As far as you can go to the west, the tracking trail turns rougher. We will head to the Pha Deng (red cliff) by tracking the narrow valley of Houay San stream. It is based on the weather that your bike must be a distance carried (because of muddy sections).
When encountering the bank of Nam Khouang, you will first meet the Phonxay village. Then, keep moving south, following the dirt track that parallel to Nam Khouang. Right at the Ban Nathong Tai intersection, the road to Nam Song bridge shall be seen again.
When you get back to Vang Vieng, cheer up with a cold drink under the sunset would be great to end the day trip.
A 7 - 8 hours of driving through spectacular Lao’s countryside view, mountain ranges and dense jungles is the pleasing trip from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang. During the way, there are many chances to take astounding photos and encounter the hill tribes.

OPTIONAL: Tak Bat ceremony (from 2 people upward)
If you manage to wake up early, attend the alms giving ceremony for cultural knowledge. Highly recommend you to watch the sunrise at the crossroads in town about 05.00 AM. At the time in Luang Prabang, monks in saffron robes from many temples will have walked in long silent line to receive the offerings, which are sincerely offered to them.
In the morning, depart for the Phousi Mount, from which you can catch the vista of the nature around and the city.
Then, we pay a visit to Vat Xieng Thong (Royal City’s Temple) – an important ancient evidence about religious, royalty and art.
After that, the destination of Wat Visoun is waiting ahead. The temple owns strange and incredible structure of Lao former style.
Coming up next is the Wat Mai temple. Located nearby Royal Palace, the stunning temple was built in 18th century and is the largest, most decorated temple of Luang Prabang.
One more destination to go: Kuang Si Falls, which is lovely with turquoise water. During your moving, hundred miles of rice paddy fields, small rustic villages alongside the path are pleasing to watch. We will stop as some villages to sightseeing and be allowed to swim in the basins.

In the morning, you will take a two-hour cruise to the upstream from the center of Luang Prabang and then, arrive in Ban Xang Hai tranquil village. Right there, you shall spend a little time to get to know LauLao (Lao whisky) and LauHai (Lao rum).
Then, plenty of Buddha images in Pak Ou caves are wonderful to contemplate. Pak Ou (mouth of the Ou river), the Tham Ting (lower cave) and the Tham Theung (upper cave) are ideal position to look out the Mekong river. After that, cross the river, get in the car and drive to Nong Khiaw.
You will have your freetime for the rest of the day.

Finish with breakfast, the local boat will take you to Muang Ngoi.
30 minutes walking from Ngoi Kao village, you shall meet and hike up the Tam Gang. In up high areas, many caves with lakes, waterfalls and rock formations insides were used to be bombs’ hiding places during war.
Then, keep going along the trail for 1.5 hours to reach Ban Houay Sens. On the way, beautiful views of fields and limestones cliffs will accompany with you. Stop and have a short break in the village resting house. Then, ready for a 3-4-hour climbing on the mountain to Ban Kew Khan. Again, fantastic sights of the jungles overlook from limestone summit is revealed.
Ban Kew Khan is where the hospitable Khmu village making baskets. They welcome the visitors to sightsee their products-process and relax when bathing in natural spring. Then, enjoy yourself with local meals and listen to the history story about the Khmu people. Visitors will stay through the night at two community family houses, which was built in Khmu style.
After finishing with breakfast, you shall take a 3-4-hour trekking trip to Ban Hadsapeuy, located on the Ou River. From Ban Kew Khan, you will go up for a short distance before following decently the trail through forests, fields to reach the stream.
Next, you will take the pleasing walk by the river and passing group of hills to Ban Hadsapeuy or Ban So Chem. Have a coconut for refreshment and then, continuing flowing upstream to Muang Khua on a local boat. In the late afternoon, you shall arrive at a one-horse border town (on Nam Ou River bank) and check in at the hotel.
Dinner on your own. Overnight stay in Muang Khua.
Waking up early to join the Binthabat Ceremony. You can see hundreds of monks pouring from many pagodas to moving slow in long line through the town. The ceremony starts at 5:45 AM and take places for about an hour. It is easy to find them in front of your hotel.
Turn back to the hotel for served breakfast and after that, ready for a trip to Tay Trang Border.
NOTE: Between 12.00 – 13.30, the Border gate immigration office usually close for lunch break.

Time travel: Possible to travel all year around however May to Oct will be rainy season. The wet season witnesses the country at its most lush and vibrant.
Rooms are available from 14.00 on arrival day until 12.00 on departure day, room supplement charge will be added for request of early/late check in/out.
Price for infants and children will be quoted as follow:
- Children under 2 years old: Free of charge (Maximum 1 child under 2 years old travels with 2 adults; from the second child, 50% of the regular fare will be applied)
- Children from 2 to 5 years old: 50% of the regular fare will be applied
- Children from 5 to 11 years old: 75% of the regular fare will be applied
- Children from 12 years: 100% of the regular fare will be applied
During Peak Season and special occasions, surcharges may be added to the price:
- Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Compulsory meals would be added during these times of the years, depends on hotels or resorts you will stay overnight.
- Laos New Year: 12 April – 18 April: Extra fee will be applied during holiday.
Visa requirements:
For Laos: You must have a valid passport and a visa (or visa on arrival) to enter Laos. Our consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay, and you must have at least one blank page for each visa stamp.
