Significantly, it continuously became the shelter to resist attacks on the air and land of the French in 1948. This tunnel was the communication route, keeping facilities, hospitals, and living areas for a lot of Vietnamese fighters during the American war. To relive the severe days our warriors were, you can try to go deep into this network.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh – Flight to Siem Reap – Afternoon Tour (B)

You are transferred to Chi Minh airport for your flight to Siem Reap.

The first destination is Angkor Wat Temple – not only the biggest religious monument in the world but also the most wonderful Temple in Angkor Archaeological Site. Surprisingly, it was built in the 12th century (from 1112 to 1152), the dynasty of Suryavarman II in honor of Vishnu. The Cambodian Nation supposes that Angkor War is the soul and specific characteristic of this country. Significantly, Angkor Wat appears on the national flag of Cambodia. Moreover, this religious monument is acknowledged as a Work Heritage by UNESCO and we must act together to defend this Temple.

Angkor Wat shows us the story of Hindu divinities and an immortal life through many embossment details. You can relive the superb period of the Khmer Empire with a disproportionate setting of squares, stairs, and towers. Angkor Wat is a great Buddhist work and home for a lot of Buddha statues even if it was left fallow in the 15th century.

The next destination is the old monastery Ta Prohm – The Ta Prohm Temple. It was specially built for the mother of King Jayavarman VII in 1186. Significantly, this temple is the place that covered more than 12.500 people (18 priests and 80.000 Khmer people). Unluckily, this temple now is overlooked and ignored by tropical forests because of the collapse of the Khmer Empire.

Watch an impressive carved vestige and enjoy the most fresh air in this place. After that, you will come back to the hotel. Meals on your account and spend your night at the hotel.

Day 8: Angkor Wat Sightseeing (B)

Preah Khan – the biggest complex in Angkor is the first destination on our trip today. Waiting for Angkor Thom built completely, King Jayavarman VII required the building of Preah Khan as a provisional place for him to stay.

We will have the chance to visit the only island temple of Angkor – Neak Pean. As a legendary savior of many wrecked ships, Balaha is constructed like a statue of the horse which is opposite the temple.

Next, you will visit the two wonderful temples in Angkor, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda, which are extremely beautiful. Appearing in the 12th century by the dynastic of King Jayavarman II, these two temples recorded admirable carved images to honor Shiva and Vishnu.

Continuing our tour in the afternoon, we will visit Angkor Thom which is considered a “Great City”. Angkor Thom is a work of art from the dynasty of King Jayavarman II. Appearing in the late 12th century, this place is the final and the most long-term capital of the Khmer Empire. Angkor Thom is an area of 9 square kilometers, which includes many temples erected in the former age of Jayavarman and his next generation.

Especially, Angkor Thom includes the National Temple of Jayavarman, the Bayon Temple, and other historical relics around the Victory Plaza in the center. A lot of old sculptures are waiting for you to explore on this site. It is time to come back to the hotel. Meals on your account and stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 9: Siem Reap – Departure (B)

Don’t forget to buy some souvenirs for your friends and family because this is the last day of your tour. After that, you will move to the airport to prepare for your next flight (without a guide). Meals on your own.
