Day 1: Arrival at Ho Chi Minh (-)

Welcomes you to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam! Asia Links Travel’s driver greets you with warm smile and transfers you to your hotel.

After a smooth check-in, unwind and refresh yourself from your journey.

Today, you’re free to explore the endless cuisine options, from fragrant street food stalls to charming local restaurants, and discover the true flavors of Vietnam.

Have a good night in your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Mekong Delta Boat Trip (B)

Start your day with a fascinating journey from Ho Chi Minh into the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels.

Watch a captivating introductory video about the tunnels and Vietnamese people during wartime on arrival. Then, prepare to be amazed! Descend into the tunnel network, a marvel of underground engineering.

Crawl through authentic sections, discovering how they served as living quarters, kitchens, and even hospitals. Imagine life underground as you explore this remarkable historical site.

After your morning adventure, hop on a scenic drive to My Tho, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Board a traditional wooden boat and set sail on the Tien River.

Feel the refreshing breeze and marvel at the picturesque four signature islands named Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands.

Disembark and explore a charming village by bicycle. This unique perspective is surely an unforgettable highlight of the Mekong Delta tour. Next, visit a traditional coconut candy workshop and witness the age-old process of creating this local delicacy.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Fly to Danang – Transfer to Hoian (B)

Spend the morning on a classic Ho Chi Minh City tour: visit Independence Palace, a historical relic also known as the Reunification Palace. Continue with other structures from the French Colonial period such as the Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office.

A must-go place for history lovers is the War Remnants Museum which has a powerful collection of exhibits from both the Indochina wars.

Afterwards, catch your domestic flight to Danang. A friendly driver will whisk you away to charming Hoian on your arrival, your picturesque home for the night.

Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, exploring the town's vibrant streets and delicious local meals.

Day 4: Hoian – Eco tour – Ancient Town (B)

Buckle up for the Day-4 adventure! We'll whisk you away to the enchanting Cam Thanh Coconut Village.

Glide through a labyrinth of waterways and water coconuts aboard a traditional basket boat. You can join a fun basketboat race, where lively cheers and rhythmic drumbeats create an exciting atmosphere. Test your skills with a round or cast net, and see if you can snag a local catch!

But the magic doesn't stop there! Your skilled boatman will transform coconut leaves into amazing natural decorations, like hats, rings, and glasses – a unique souvenir to cherish your Vietnamese adventure.

In the afternoon, return to Hoian ancient town for a tour on foot—the best way to gently admire the city's beauty.

Marvel at the remarkable architecture of the Ancient Houses, showcased at the Hoian Museum. Don't miss the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge (Chua Cau), a symbol of Hoi An's rich cultural tapestry. Day 5: Hoian – Transfer to Danang Airport – Fly to Siem Reap (B)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then you have time to explore the rest of Hoian until Asia Links Travel drives you to Danang Airport for a direct flight to Siem Reap.

Welcome to Siem Reap! Our driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel to continue our Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos 2-week itinerary.

Meals are on your own to explore Cambodian cuisine.

Day 6: Visit Angkor Complex (B)

To kick off your tour in Cambodia, embark on an exclusive early-morning adventure to Ta Prohm. This temple, unlike others, remains largely embraced by the jungle, creating a mystic yet captivating atmosphere.

Witness the magnificent roots of giant trees snaking through the ancient stone blocks, a sight that will stay with you forever!

Next, prepare to be awestruck by Angkor Wat, one of the world's most impressive archaeological wonders.

Marvel at the intricate Apsara carvings that adorn the temple walls, a testament to the artistic mastery of the Angkorian era.

Afternoon, hop on a tuk-tuk (a traditional Cambodian ride) and delve into the mysterious Angkor Thom.

Prepare to be mesmerized by the Bayon temple, featuring 54 enigmatic towers adorned with hundreds of smiling faces.

Continue exploring the surrounding complex, including the Baphuon, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace, and the Royal Palace area.

Return to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 7: Angkok Outlying Temples (B)

8:00 AM: Journey back in time!  This morning, we go beyond the iconic Angkor Wat.  Our first stop: the Roulous Group, a collection of ancient Khmer temples dating back to the 9th century.

Explore the three main Hindu temples – Lolei, Bakong, and Preah Ko – remnants of the once-mighty city of Hariharalaya. Absorb the tranquil atmosphere away from the crowds and even meet some friendly local villagers along the way. (Walking distance: 3km total).

Afternoon, continue to the Banteay Srei, also known as the "Citadel of Women." Carved from exquisite pink sandstone, its intricate details and remarkable preservation are truly awe-inspiring.

For lunch and dinner, enjoy your free time to explore Siem Reap's culinary scene.

Rest comfortably at your hotel for the night.

Day 8: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake - Fly to Luang Prabang (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and check out, bid farewell to Siem Reap's temples. Today, we embark on a journey to the heart of Southeast Asia's largest lake - the mighty Tonle Sap.

Prepare to be mesmerized by Chong Khneas village, a vibrant floating community unlike any other. Imagine houses bobbing on the water, schools, and clinics keeping life afloat. Hop on a traditional wooden boat and navigate the lake, getting up close to the village and its lifestyle.

After your exploration, sail back to Siem Reap. If you haven't had your fill of ancient wonders, there's time for a final temple visit. Or you can wander the streets, capture the city, and find unique souvenirs to treasure back home.

By 1:00 PM, it's time to head to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang, Laos. Arrive in the early evening at about 06:25 PM and check into your hotel.

Lunch and dinner are yours to explore at your own pace, savoring the flavors of Laos for the first time.

Day 9: Luang Prabang Tour – Kuangsi Fall (B)

After breakfast, unleash your inner explorer with a journey to the Kuang Si Waterfalls! Take a refreshing dip in the turquoise pools beneath the falls or simply marvel at the awe-inspiring power of nature.

Return to Luang Prabang, visit the National Museum (once the Royal Palace), and admire its collection of fascinating artifacts belonging to the Lao Royal Family.

Visit Vat Xieng Thong, considered the city's most beautiful temple—Marvel at its low sweeping roofs and intricate architectural details.

Continue your cultural immersion at Vat Mai Temple, the former residence of a revered Buddhist patriarch. Ascend Phousi Hill, is a short but rewarding climb, with breathtaking panoramic views of the mighty Mekong River sprawling below.

Then, end your day in style with a luxury sunset cruise along the Mekong River and lose yourself in the vibrant H'mong Night Market, where you can find unique souvenirs and handicrafts.

Day 10: Luang Prabang – Direct Flight to Hanoi (B)

Early morning, witness a spectacle unique to Laos: the daily almsgiving ceremony. Rise with the dawn and observe saffron-clad monks receiving offerings from locals, a tradition deeply rooted in Laotian Buddhism.

Our Laos tour continues with the vibrant local morning market, then back to the hotel for breakfast.

Enjoy some free time to explore Luang Prabang's charm before your journey to Hanoi.

Arrive in Hanoi at around 06:30 PM, transfer to the hotel, and be ready to explore the captivating wonders of Vietnam.

Day 11: Hanoi – Ninh Binh, Hoa Lu, Tam Coc Tour - Hanoi (B)

This morning, depart to Ninh Binh, a landscape photographer's dream. First, step back in time to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital. Imagine the grandeur of Vietnam's feudal dynasties as you explore the remnants of Dinh, Le, and Ly palaces.

Next, prepare to be enchanted by Tam Coc, dubbed "Halong Bay on Land." Glide along emerald waters on a traditional bamboo boat, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, emerald rice paddies, and mystical cave systems. This breathtaking masterpiece will leave you speechless.

Afterward, conquer Mua Cave, also known as the "Dancing Cave." Ascend nearly 500 steps, reaching the peak of Lying Dragon Mountain. Here, a panoramic vista of Tam Coc unfolds before you, leaving you breathless.

In the late afternoon, return to Hanoi by car.

Day 12: Hanoi – Halong Bay Overnight on Cruise (B, L, D)

Prepare to be enchanted by one of the best places in Vietnam- Halong Bay!

Pick up at your hotel in the Old Quarter and head to Halong Bay. Enjoy the Vietnamese countryside, where emerald rice paddies and quaint villages unfold before your eyes.

Note: Some roads do not allow vehicles to make room for the Walking street on weekends, so our buses will pick you up at the closest and most suitable point.

Upon arrival at the cruise check-in lounge, take a moment to unwind after your scenic drive. Refresh yourself and prepare for the adventure ahead.

12:15 PM

Step aboard your luxurious cruise and be warmly welcomed by the crew. As you sip on welcome drinks, the Cruise Manager will unveil the exciting itinerary and ensure your safety with a briefing.

Enjoy a delectable buffet lunch as your cruise glides through the turquoise waters of Halong Bay. Savor the flavors while marveling at the iconic Fighting Roosters and Finger Islets that pierce the sky.

Immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of the bay. Then, explore the hidden wonders of Luon Cave by kayak or relax on a traditional bamboo boat rowed by locals.

Choose your next escapade: majestic Titov Island or delve into the mystical Trinh Nu Cave.

Return to your Halong Bay cruise and join the vibrant sunset party with Happy Hour (from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM)

  4. Meals on board are fusion: Vietnamese, seafood & international. Guests should advise of any special food preferences, allergies, or dietary requirements at least one (01) week before the cruise date.
  5. Advance registration is required before departure for at least 7 days with your full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number, and visa expiration date for all passengers. A valid passport is required upon check-in. Otherwise, boarding may be denied by the port authority.

Day 13: Halong Bay – Return to Hanoi (B, Br)

Savor a light breakfast at the restaurant.

7:30 AM - 8:30 AM

Your last stop is the magnificent Sung Sot Cave, one of Halong Bay's largest. Marvel at the dazzling array of stalactites adorning the cavern's ceiling.

8:30 AM - 9:30 AM

Return to the cruise, where you'll settle your bill and check out. As you cruise back to Tuan Chau Island, enjoy a delicious brunch served at the restaurant.

10:45 AM - 11:00 AM

Relax and enjoy the scenic return journey to Hanoi, arriving by 3:30 PM (subject to traffic conditions).

Day 14: Hanoi Full Day City Tour (B)

After breakfast, your guide and driver from Vietnam Travels will pick you up for a captivating final day of the Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos 2-week tour! Your Hanoi city tour starts with the Ho Chi Minh Complex.

Explore the life and legacy of "Uncle Ho," Vietnam's beloved leader, through a visit to his Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda.

The next stop is the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university dating back to the 11th century. Then, you will visit the vibrant bustle of the Hanoi Old Quarter. Get lost in the maze of narrow, age-old streets, teeming with shops overflowing with local crafts and delicious street food.

Continue the tour with a unique water puppet show. Watch in awe as skilled puppeteers manipulate colorful figures from the depths of a water-filled stage, bringing folktales and legends to life in this captivating art form.

Day 15: Hanoi Departure (B)

This morning, you are free to explore Hanoi City on your own terms. Uncover unique treasures in bustling local markets, perfect as mementos for loved ones back home, or stroll around Hanoi to cherish the last moments.

Later, we'll ensure a smooth transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Relax in your comfortable hotel room until 12.00 noon.

Trip Notes

Time travel: Possible to travel all year around. June to Oct will be rainy season. The wet season witnesses the countries at most lush and vibrant.

Rooms are available from 14.00 on arrival day until 12.00 on departure day, room supplement charge will be added for request of early/late check in/out.

Airfares (if any) may change without notice prior to e-ticket issuance.

Price for infants and children will be quoted as follow:

  • Children under 2 years old: Free of charge (Maximum 1 child under 2 years old travels with 2 adults; from the second child, 50% of the regular fare will be applied) 
  • Children from 2 to 5 years old: 50% of the regular fare will be applied
  • Children from 5 to 11 years old: 75% of the regular fare will be applied
  • Children from 12 years: 100% of the regular fare will be applied

During Peak Season and special occasions, surcharges may be added to the price:

  • Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Compulsory meals would be added during these times of the years, depends on hotels or resorts you will stay overnight.
  • Vietnam Lunar New Year: 24 January – 27 January: Extra fee will be applied during holiday.
  • Cambodia & Laos New Year: 12 April – 18 April: Extra fee will be applied during holiday.

Visa requirements:

You must have a valid passport and a visa (or pre-approval letter for a visa on arrival) to enter Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos. Our consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.

Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay, and you must have at least one blank page for each visa stamp.
