This tour is perfect if you love: Culture, local life, interaction, beautiful scenery, people, cottage industries
Stops include: APOPO Local market, local pagoda, West Baray (stop only), refreshments in countryside homes, traditional local family businesses, and Cambodian medicine man.
We will start at APOPO to learn about their HeroRats that are helping to make Cambodia safe from landmines. Escape the traffic of the city and follow tree-lined side roads deep into the countryside.
At the local market as our first stop, our guides introduce you to his favorite sellers and their exotic products. We stop at a beautiful temple where we receive a Buddhist blessing and gain an insight into the local beliefs and the daily life of a monk.
We continue through the lovely rice paddies and farmland towards our local family house where we stop for refreshments and meet friendly water buffaloes. We will meet local families with various traditional professions: a family of rattan weavers, sticky rice makers, sugar-palm harvesters, noodle makers and a traditional medicine man.
It will be heart-warming to get to know these hospitable locals and you are sure to return with a smile!

Time travel: Possible to travel all year around.
Price for infants and children will be quoted as follow:
- Children under 2 years old: Free of charge (Maximum 1 child under 2 years old travels with 2 adults; from the second child, 50% of the regular fare will be applied)
- Children from 2 to 5 years old: 50% of the regular fare will be applied
- Children from 5 to 11 years old: 75% of the regular fare will be applied
- Children from 12 years: 100% of the regular fare will be applied
During Peak Season and special occasions, surcharges may be added to the price:
- Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Compulsory meals would be added during these times of the years, depends on hotels or resorts you will stay overnight.
- Cambodia New Year: 12 April – 18 April: Extra fee will be applied during holiday.
Visa requirements:
For Cambodia: You must have a valid passport and a visa (or visa on arrival) to enter Cambodia. Our consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay, and you must have at least one blank page for each visa stamp.
