Itinerary
You can start this cultural holiday with a delicious breakfast at the hotel or grab a breakfast box on the go. At 7:30 am, meet your guide and driver for a scenic ride through the mountains to Pu Luong, which takes about 3.5 to 4 hours.
Upon arrival in Pu Luong, enjoy lunch and check into your shared stilt house resort (standard check-in is 2 P.M., early check-in is subject to availability).
In the afternoon, take a short ride to Ban Huou village, nestled in Pu Luong's most beautiful valley. Along the way, admire the breathtaking rice terraces and scenic mountains. Hike along scenic trails for panoramic views of the rice fields and village below. You might even pass by local homes and have the opportunity to visit a family to learn about their lifestyle and culture.
Don't miss the chance to see the unique bamboo water wheels dotting the riverside, a centuries-old water supply system still in use today. After exploring, return to your Pu Luong Valley homestay for the night.
This leisurely walk takes you through breathtaking rice terraces, starting with a descent from the Retreat. Immerse yourself in the valley's beauty as you wander past cascading rice paddies. The trail then winds through lush vegetation, gradually revealing a charming Uoi village nestled at the foot of a majestic mountain. The panoramic vista of the village will leave you breathless.
Afterward, we'll descend to a local house for a rest before hopping on bikes for a ride around Lan village. If time allows, we might visit a local family to witness their traditional brocade weaving (not guaranteed).
The cycling route winds through scenic rice paddies, connecting villages and crossing bridges, offering a deeper exploration of the surrounding landscapes. We'll then cycle back to the starting point, where a car will be waiting to take you back to Pu Luong Retreat for dinner.
This morning is yours to unwind at Puluong Valley Home or independently explore the area. We'll then check out and head back to Hanoi. Don't forget, you can keep your room until 11:30 am.
