Itinerary
Upon our arrival, our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the city of Luang Namtha. The town is easy and tranquil, which is also an ideal place to discover the pristine nature of the northwestern Laos.
When in Luang Namtha, you can find there are bunch of things to do, like getting to know the region’s history and skimming the articles, a local area contributed to the revolution at the provincial museum, browsing in the night market and encountering old villages of the town’s outskirt.
Other than that, the city also possesses gorgeous stupas. As always, the That Phum Puk stupa is outstanding when perched on a hill, embraced by hundred miles of rice paddy fields. The temple is easy to access when you stroll through Nam Sun village, also where you can observe how locals make paper from bamboo. With a spacious space of lush green jungle, the place has become a favorite site for ecotourism.

Finish with your breakfast, let’s move to Doiluckkam on a Tuk-Tuk for about half an hour. From there, the Khmu guide shall lead the group. Begin the journey at Nam Ha NPA (National Protected Area), you will have a chance to get to know some edible herbs and medical plants introduced by the guide.
After that, climbing uphill for the jungle sightseeing trip with a chance to see various kinds of plants and wild animals. If lucky, you can encounter some wild species like monkeys, pigs and goats. Stop for a while and enjoy your picnic lunch made by your friendly guide, then continue the journey to your jungle camp down the mountain. By the time you come, it shall be around 4:30 pm.
Experience a night near the Nam Ha river, you are free to go fishing, walk around the camp and soak your body into the water of Nam Ha river.
It will be a refreshing morning when you wake up in the tranquil ambience of the nature and the sound of the animals. Warm up your body when going around your camp and immerse in the clear air (be aware of the do’s and don’ts in these cultures, ask the guide if you need information).
Then, your breakfast shall be ready. Finish your breakfast, you will get to the other side of Nam Ha river, trekking through spectacular fields and forest to reach to the destination of Ban Nalan. In the place, you will have a chance to know clearer about the Khmu lifestyle, culture, customs and tradition.
While moving through the forest, your traditional lunch will be prepared. After that, you will trek two - hour down the mountain and arrive in Ban Chalernsouk. At the point, the driver is ready to pick you up and transfer you back to Luang Namtha.
Breakfast is served at the hotel. Then, depart from Oudomxay for Muang Khua early in the morning.
After that, you will have a boat ride for about 4 - 5 hours to Muang Ngoy. From the north of Nong Khiaw, drive for about an hour and you will reach to Muang Ngoy - a lovely small village with dust paths and coconut trees stand along the way. But what people have been excited about is the site of fishermen with their nets, which is a beautiful and typical picture of South Sea.

Begin the day by cruising on the mellow river to Nong Khiaw. After lunch, it is time to explore the Phathok – one historical cave, where used to be a sheltered when the “Secret War” occurred in Laos. Walk on foot for about 30 minutes from Nong Khiaw town, you will encounter splendid natural landscapes before reaching the site.
The guide will tell you about the secret part of Lao history and show you around the caves. From here, you will have a great view of the surrounding valley with endless rice fields. Contemplate the sunset over the river.

In the morning, begin your journey by driving through the breathtaking view along Nam Ou River, which is Laos' longest river inland. After lunch, enjoy your cruising to Luang Prabang with a visit to Pak Ou caves, which is situated near Nam Ou and Mekong river’s intersection. There, plenty of Buddha images and gilded Buddha statues are wonderful to contemplate.
Not far from the caves, the Ban Xang Hai village is tranquilly situated. Right there, you shall spend some time learning about the making of LauLao (Lao whisky) and LauHai (Lao rum). Then, head for Luang Prabang by boat before sunset.
After checking in at the hotel, enjoy your time by walking on those old streets and contemplate sunset over the picturesque sites of the countryside. When it gets dark, join the bustle hustle night market in the city center where ethnic minorities gather to sell their produces.

In the morning, depart for the Phousi Mount, from which you can catch the vista of the nature around and the city.
Then, we pay a visit to Vat Xieng Thong (Royal City’s Temple) – an important ancient evidence of religious, royalty and art.
After that, the destination of Wat Visoun is waiting ahead. The temple owns strange and incredible structure of Lao former style.
Coming up next is the Wat Mai temple. Located nearby Royal Palace, the stunning temple was built in 18th century and is the largest, most decorated temple of Luang Prabang.
One more destination to go: Kuang Si Falls, which is lovely with turquoise water. During your moving, hundred miles of rice paddy fields, small rustic villages alongside the path are pleasing to watch. Stopover at some villages for sightseeing. Then, immerse yourself in the cool water of Kuang Si's secret pools.
You are free for the rest of the day. Lunch and dinner on your own. Stay one night at the hotel.

Time travel: Possible to travel all year around however May to Oct will be rainy season. The wet season witnesses the country at its most lush and vibrant.
Rooms are available from 14.00 on arrival day until 12.00 on departure day, room supplement charge will be added for request of early/late check in/out.
Price for infants and children will be quoted as follow:
- Children under 2 years old: Free of charge (Maximum 1 child under 2 years old travels with 2 adults; from the second child, 50% of the regular fare will be applied)
- Children from 2 to 5 years old: 50% of the regular fare will be applied
- Children from 5 to 11 years old: 75% of the regular fare will be applied
- Children from 12 years: 100% of the regular fare will be applied
During Peak Season and special occasions, surcharges may be added to the price:
- Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Compulsory meals would be added during these times of the years, depends on hotels or resorts you will stay overnight.
- Laos New Year: 12 April – 18 April: Extra fee will be applied during holiday.
Visa requirements:
For Laos: You must have a valid passport and a visa (or visa on arrival) to enter Laos. Our consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.
Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay, and you must have at least one blank page for each visa stamp.
