Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival - City Tour Around Hanoi (-)

When you arrive in Hanoi, your driver from Asia Links Travel will meet you at the airport. Then transfer to the center of Hanoi.

Free time in the morning.

In the afternoon, you will have the chance to set foot in the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam constructed in the 11th century, and the nearby famous Tran Quoc Pagoda.

Our next spot is the Hanoi Old Quarter - a place to preserve ancient culture and memory of time. It is a unique blend of nostalgic ambiance from old-styled tiny alleyways with the lively mood of a modern city. Furthermore, you will be impressed by its energy and the array of goods displayed along 36 old streets, including street food, clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, and more.

Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon.

Day 2: Hanoi Eco Bus - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B)

6:30 AM: Hanoi Eco bus will pick you up and send you to Sapa.

Around 1:00 – 1:30 PM: Arrive in Sapa.

In the afternoon, we start a short journey of 20 minutes by car and take you to Muong Hoa Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in northwest Vietnam. Walking down into the valley, you will find the Sapa area's largest terraced rice paddy. (If you visit the valley between May and October, you can observe and learn how the villagers plant and harvest rice.) 

The trek takes you from Lao Chai hamlet of the Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of the Zay minority, allowing you to observe the differences in traditions and costumes between the two ethnic minority groups. Return to Sapa by car.

Day 3: Sapa - Fansipan Mountain - Sapa (B)

You will take a car from Sapa to Fansipan, the highest peak in the Indochina Alps. It usually takes one or two days to walk to the summit of Fansipan Mountain. However, we will use the three-rope cable car system to travel from the bottom to the top of the mountain in 15-20 minutes.

Fansipan cable car is a modern three-wire cable in the world, with its first presence in Asia. The distance from Muong Hoa Valley to the peak is 6.2 kilometers, with a total of 35 cabins traveling via 6 main pillars, each 1 kilometer apart.

From there, you can enjoy the scenery and spectacular views of Sapa, as well as views of Muong Hoa Valley and Hoang Lien National Forest from above, and the beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province. Then you'll be transferred back to Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa Free - Sapa Eco Bus - Hanoi (B)

Free time to explore Sapa on your own.

2:00 PM: Sapa Eco Bus will pick you up and depart to Hanoi.

8:30 PM: Arrive in Hanoi. Check-in the hotel and relax.

Meals on your own and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Overnight on Halong Bay Cruise (B, L, D)

08:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel by Asia Links Travel in Hanoi's Old Quarter or the Opera Theatre House.

11:30 – 12:00 AM: Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor, and then check in at the waiting area.

12:00 – 12:30 PM: Board the Tender Boat to Verdure Lotus Cruise and enjoy a welcome drink. Meet the captain and crew for a brief orientation to the cruise and safety rules. Complete the check-in process.

1:00 – 1:15 PM: Enjoy Vietnamese seafood and a vegetarian lunch as you navigate around the gorgeous Halong-Lan Ha Bay and observe the bay's interesting rock formations.

3:00 – 3:30 PM: Relax on the sundeck or explore the Ba Trai Dao - Tra Bau region and Lan Ha Bay's natural lagoon by kayaking.

5:30 – 6:30 PM: Return to our cruise and take part in our Happy Hour and Cooking Class. You can use the astonishing sunset as a background and take amazing photographs.

7:00 PM: Dinner is served at the restaurant. After that, join the squid fishing program, relax on the sundeck, or enjoy a glass of wine at the bar.

Day 6: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Departure (B, Br)

6:00-6:30 AM: Taichi on the sundeck, sightseeing sunrise

6:15 -7:00 AM: Have breakfast. Morning view of bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee.

7:00 AM: Visit Dark and Light Cave. Here you can freely kayak or row bamboo Boat to explore the landscape, or immerse yourself. in the cool, clear blue water of this place.

9:30 AM: Back to your cabin, take relax and check carefully all the luggage before leaving your cabin.

10:00 AM: Check-out from the private cabin and enjoy a fantastic cruise on the bay for room service. Complete check-out procedure. Enjoy brunch at the restaurant while the cruise is returning to the harbour.

11:00 AM: You take the Tender boat back to Tuan Chau port. Return to Hanoi

3:00 – 4:00 PM: Car service will take you back to Hanoi. 

Then your driver will pick you up and send you to the airport for your departure flight.

Trip Notes

Time travel: Possible to travel all year around. March to June and September to October are best time in Sapa when the weather is warmer and days are mainly sunny.

Rooms are available from 14.00 on arrival day until 12.00 on departure day, room supplement charge will be added for request of early/late check in/out.

Price for infants and children will be quoted as follow:

  • Children under 2 years old: Free of charge (Maximum 1 child under 2 years old travels with 2 adults; from the second child, 50% of the regular fare will be applied) 
  • Children from 2 to 5 years old: 50% of the regular fare will be applied
  • Children from 5 to 11 years old: 75% of the regular fare will be applied
  • Children from 12 years: 100% of the regular fare will be applied

During Peak Season and special occasions, surcharges may be added to the price:

  • Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Compulsory meals would be added during these times of the years, depends on hotels or resorts you will stay overnight.
  • Vietnam Lunar New Year: 24 January – 27 January: Extra fee will be applied during holiday.

Visa requirements:

For Vietnam: You must have a valid passport and a visa (or pre-approval letter for a visa on arrival) to enter Vietnam. Our consultant will be happy to advise you on visa requirements.

Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay, and you must have at least one blank page for each visa stamp.
