The visitors will meet our English-speaking guide at the Houayxay, Lao immigration office between 7:30 and 9:00 AM. He will help clients with their visa applications. After receiving their VISA, guests will travel to the slow boat pier in a shared minivan.
At 10:30 AM, our boat departs from Houayxay; if you are among the guests who do not arrive, our guide will not wait for you.
Our tour guide will give a brief talk in the morning regarding the origins of the Mekong and the Dos and Don'ts when visiting Laos.
On board, a traditional Lao lunch set is served at around 12:00 AM.
We will make a stop to visit a Khamu or Hmong village before reaching Pakbeng.
Travelers will learn about rural lifestyles in a very remote area of their livelihood.
The boat will arrive at Pakbeng around 5:00 PM
Overnight at your hotel in Pakbeng.
At 8:00 AM, the boat will depart from Pakbeng. As you travel, take in the breathtaking scenery and the jungle.
The first destination is Ban Baw village, which is home to the Lao Loum, Shan, and Tai Lue ethnic groups—a complex but harmonious fusion. The village is now well-known for its handicrafts and lao lao whiskey production.
At approximately 12:00 AM, a traditional Lao lunch set is served on board immediately following the visit.
Afternoon, the boat will stop again to visit the Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting), which have more than two thousand Buddha statues. For the Lao people, it is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites.
After the visit, our waiters will serve you a nice and cool Rossel drink made by our team. The boat will arrive in Luang Prabang before 5:00 pm.

The boat leaves Luang Prabang at seven in the morning and heads upstream to Pakbeng.
On board, a Western breakfast set is served (with a coffee or tea selection).
We will make a stop in the morning to see the more than two thousand Buddha statues at Pak Ou Cave (Tham Ting). It is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for the Lao people. On board, a traditional Lao lunch set is served at around 12:00 AM.
Our tour guide will provide guests with an explanation of Lao culture, history, and traditions.
Around 5:00 PM, the boat docks in Pakbeng.
Overnight in Pakbeng on your choice of hotels.
Note: The meeting point is 06:45 AM at Wat Thad Pier (opposite Wat Thad temple).
Around 7:00 AM, our boat departs. Travelers can typically order a takeout breakfast box from your Pakbeng hotel to consume while on the road.
The boat will make a stop to visit one of the hill tribe villages right before lunch. Visitors will gain knowledge of rural lifestyles in isolated places. On board, a traditional Lao lunch set is served.
Enjoy our team's homemade drinks and desserts (which may include a banana dessert or a local sweet melon with coconut milk) before you get to Houay Xay Pier.
Our boat is expected to reach its destination by 5:00 PM, with the possibility of completing the voyage to Thailand that same day. Our tour guide will share a minivan with the guests to take them to the Lao border.
