Right when you arrive at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, your local driver from Asia Links Travel will drive you to the hotel. From 14:00, the hotel rooms are at your disposal until the end of the Vietnam tour.
After you unpack and freshen up, get ready for a delightful Ho Chi Minh City tour. During the escorted trip, the most attractive sites of the biggest city in Vietnam will be shown in front of your eyes:
The Reunification Palace: a historical artifact from a time that ended just 40 years ago. This palace is well-known as a great historical witness to two bloody Vietnam wars against French and American colonists.
The palace was built on the site of the previous Norodom Palace, an icon of Saigon (as many locals refer to this city).
The War Remnants Museum: Opened in September 1975 as "The House for Displaying War Crimes of American Imperialism and the Puppet Government," the museum focuses on exhibits connected to the American portion of the Vietnam War.
This museum should be the highlight of your sightseeing tour in Ho Chi Minh City, as it immerses the audience in the different aspects of the war's history and caters to them with guided audio in several languages.
Notre Dame Cathedral: a cathedral in the heart of Saigon. It contains two bell towers that stand 58 meters tall. Notre Dame was the most beautiful cathedral of its kind among all the French colonies when it was erected.
The Saigon Central Post Office: one of Ho Chi Minh City's oldest structures. Constructed between 1886 and 1891, the Central Post Office was designed by Villedieu, who is a well-known French architect.
Ben Thanh Market: Ho Chi Minh City's largest market. This ancient monument has a terrific ambiance that is entirely authentically Vietnamese.
Besides tasting some traditional snacks in this market, you can buy some souvenirs here for family and friends.
Then, you are free to explore Saigon or relax for the rest of the day. End of Day 1 on your multy-country tour!
