On June 26th morning, the first trial flight of Trang An Helicopter Tour took off for their opening tour of the complex. Through this experience, tourists have the chance to embark on the Bell 505 – a model light helicopter with modern facilities. Built by the famous manufacturer – Bell Helicopter – and began its first operation in 2019, the main purpose of the model is for commercial use, especially tourism and sightseeing.

The cabin is equipped with a wide and transparent window. The flight is maintained at an altitude of 150 – 200 meters from the ground. Within this 10-minute flight, all the crannies and nooks of the untouched grandeur, that is Trang An World Heritage, will be taken in completely through your sights alone.

Mr. Pham Van Dung – the director of Vietnam Helicopter Corporation – North said all the flights would follow strict regulations to ensure safety along with a professionally trained and experienced flight crew. The opening of the Trang An Heli Tour promises to contribute to bringing a unique perspective from the above Trang An Complex to both foreign and domestic visitors.

According to Trang An Ecotourism Zone Management Board, within the first 3 days of debut, they will arrange enough flights for 400 passengers who would like to experience this new form of tourism. The flights begin at the gate of Trang An Complex and fly over Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, and then return to the flight ground. The total duration is 10 minutes and the maximum passenger per flight is four.

On the morning of June 26th, after taking part in the tour, Ms. Mai Anh (from Ha Noi) excitedly shared that despite having many holidays in Ninh Binh over the year, this was the first time she ever could observe the scenery from such height.

“Most of the structures of the helicopter are built from highly transparent glass so I could have a panoramic view under from any seat. The flight crew varied the altitude based on the sights below so we were able to have the perfect position to memorize all the beauties of the complex.”

Mr. Bui Van Manh – vice-director of the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism – assessed that this form of tourism has many potential. Recently, this service has been the talk of many travel enthusiasts and agencies. In the future, the tour will begin its operation in order to stimulate the flow of tourists to Ninh Binh, especially domestic ones.
