Itinerary
As soon as you arrive in Chiang Mai, you will receive a warm welcome. You can enjoy today’s time at our leisure in order to get prepared for the trek tomorrow.
Have a good night at a hotel in Chiang Mai.
At 8 o'clock in the morning, our tour leader will take you to the Sam Pakoy local market, where to make some purchase in preparation for the following days.
We will then take a ride to Chiang Mai railway station, where our train departs to Doi Khuntan station.
From there, continue heading towards Doi Khuntan National Park and arrive there at 11:00 am. Our lunch can be enjoyed at a local restaurant.
After lunchtime, we need to complete the check-in procedure at the bungalow in the park before going for a relaxing small walk to the waterfall not far away.
You will enjoy the chance to admire the scenery of the sun setting over such a stunning national park.

This morning, as you finish your breakfast which is served with coffee, tea and fruits, we will go for a climb to the top of a hill called Khuntan.
We can admire the picturesque landscape along our way through the stunning jungle where there are big pine trees. Our stop is the place where evangelists in this city often go for their weekend break.
After that, our journey keeps on with a visit to the Khuntan hill, which is 1337m high from the sea level. Atop the hill, enjoy the wonderful view over the jungle and lands under.
We then return to the bungalow, complete check-out stuff and take a ride to Lampang. Along the way, have a drop at Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, which is among the most deeply respected temples in this country.
Legend has it that this place used to be visited by the Buddha about two and a half thousand years ago and left a hair, which today is cherished in the big chedi of the temple.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant within a short distance from the temple before our excursion continues towards Lampang – the heart of Lanna culture.
During the 1900s, Lampang was the central place for teak exploitation with a workforce of no less than 4 thousand elephants.
Complete the check-in procedure at the guesthouse in Lampang before our trek begins along Talat Gao road with several historical relics.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will travel on the back of a horse around the streets in Lambang. Our first destination is Wat Si Rong Muang, which is the most spectacular structure made from teak wood among other monasteries in this city.
Constructed in the year of 1904 by the Burmese from Mandalay, the monastery makes a name for its architecture and diversely ornate indoor design in Burmese style.
Our following stop is Wat Prakaeo Don Tao, of which the construction dates back to the 14th or 15th century.
This temple is of great significance as it enshrines the Emerald Buddha statue, the holiest Buddha image in this country during the 1500s for 34 years.
Our journey continues with a visit to Ban Sao Nak, a house made from wooden teak.
The structure is a combination between Burmese and Lanna arts since the roof follows Lanna architecture while the verandahs surrounding the house reflects Burmese design. We will enjoy lunch before returning to Chiang Mai.
Along the way, drop a visit to Wat Phra That Hariphunchai, which is known as an important site for Buddhist pilgrims. It is also well-known for the stunning structure in pyramid shape.
It has been more than nine centuries since the temple’s construction.
Our arrival at Chiang Mai is supposed to be at about 5 or 6 o’clock in the afternoon. This is also where our trek comes to an end.

1. Best Time to Visit Thailand: Nov – Feb
Thailand has a warm tropical climate, so you can count on warm to hot weather throughout the year but there are many great places that you can visit all year.
Peak season is generally during December to January for everywhere in Thailand but the best time to visit Thailand is actually from November to February which the weather is cool, clear sky and no rain. During this season the weather in the northern regions is chilly at night, but the rest of the country stays a balmy 30°C even in the winter.
March is starting for the hot season but April to May are the hottest and driest months but the southern islands would be the good place to visit.
May to October is the low season and also the cheapest time to travel because the hotel price will be cheaper than other seasons but except some islands like Koh Tao or Koh Samui for example July and August, these periods, hotels are expensive.
2. Thailand Visa Requirements:
Many nationalities, including citizens of Australia, Canada, South Africa, the US and most European countries do not need a visa for stays of up to 30 days. A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry, return ticket or onward travel arrangement needs to be presented upon request at your arrival in Thailand. These requirements are subject to change. Please check with the embassy or consulate in your home country before departure.

Airfares (if any) may change without prior notice to e-ticket issuance.
4. Child Policy:
- 0 - 2 years old: Free of charge (Maximum 1 child under 2 years old travels with 2 adults; from the second child, 50% of the regular fare will be applied) .
- 2 - 5 years old: 50% of the regular fare will be applied.
- 5 - 11 years old: 75% of the regular fare will be applied.
- From 12 years and older: 100% of the regular fare will be applied.
During Peak Season and Special Occasions, Surcharges may be Added to the Price:
- Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Compulsory meals would be added during these times of the years, depending on hotels or resorts you stay.
- Peak season during 20 Dec 2020 – 10 Jan 2021, Songkran Festival, Loy Kratong Festival, Chinese New Year: Extra fee required.
