Itinerary
After breakfast at 8:30 AM, you'll go to the bustling and hustling Nyaung Oo market. Then, Taung Kalat will be the next stop on your Burma Tour.
This is a Buddhist monastery that sits on top of Mount Popa, a 1518-meter-high extinct volcano. Since the beginning, Mount Popa has been an essential part of the culture, religion, and history of Myanmar.
It has a shrine where the 37 Nats, which are ancient Burmese spirits, are worshipped.
As you and your local guide from Asia Links Travel climb the stairs to the top, you can discuss Nats and Nat worship. From the top of the volcanic peak, you can see a great view of the Myingyan Plain.
After that, we'll drive back to Bagan, which will take an hour. As the last activity of our Myanmar travel, we'll stop in a nearby village where people make wine and molasses from the fruit of palm trees. Observe the amazing manufacturing process.
