Itinerary
Welcome to Luang Prabang with Asia Links Travel, our private car and driver will take you to your accommodation. Luang Prabang is possibly Southeast Asia's best-preserved traditional city.
This town's peace and charm, along with the beautiful natural environment and cultural attractions, make it one of the most enjoyable destinations to visit in Laos.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Today, we enjoy a short guided tour of the city's oldest temple magnificent Wat Xieng Thong where you can see the impressive “tree of life” mosaic set in colored glass then visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which offers a wonderful collection of artifacts reflecting the diversity of Lao culture across history.
We will have free time to venture into town and stroll around the shopping areas. We then drive to visit the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfalls where you can swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths.
Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon then get on board an upstream cruise on the Mekong River, which gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside.
We make a pit stop at the Pak Ou Caves, two enormous caverns that serve as reservoirs for hundreds of Buddha statues.
We'll also stop in a few villages during the day, such as Ban Xanghai, where local rice wine is made, and go to the Night Market, where you can browse through a lovely selection of handmade textiles.

An early start gives you the wonderful chance to observe or take part in the daily ritual of paying alms to saffron-clad monks. Laos is the only Buddhist country that still follows this tradition.
With Family Holidays, we continue to explore the local morning market and continue to climb up to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred, gilded stupa as well as capture a beautiful view of the city and the Mekong River at sunrise time.
Return to hotel.
After your breakfast, today we will travel to Phonsavanh - Xiengkouang province through the high mountain and nice view. It will take about 6 – 7 hours.
On the way, we visit View Points and local Hmong villages. Especially we also come to Russian Tank that was broken during Laos’ Army fighting with the CIA inVietnam War.
After arriving in XiengKhouang, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in.

Today we will visit a morning market to get the local food sales. From there we continue to visit Mulberry shop & workshop (specialized in Sericulture).
We drive out to visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are littered all over the plateau.

To visit the Buddhist Temples ruins and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people. They have an interesting local culture and a long history.
From there we will transfer to the airport for a short flight to Vientiane (Capital City of Laos). On your arrival, you will meet your local guide and driver and then transfer to the hotel.

Today, Family Holidays will give you the chance to explore the hidden charm of Vientiane with various historic sites including one of Vientiane's most magnificent and noteworthy temples - Vat PhraKeo, while Vat Sisaket has a lovely architecture and a well-designed floor plan, the most significant Laotian shrine - Pha That Luang, the city's most recognizable landmark which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of this city - Patuxay.
Visit the renowned Buddha Park in the afternoon. It is home to hundreds of Buddha statues and a 40-meter-long monstrous Buddha picture.
Take your time exploring its distinctive statues, which include humans, gods, and animals in a variety of sizes and shapes.
We will visit COPE Center also to see the help works with thousands of people with mobility-related disabilities, including UXO survivors, accessing prosthetic and orthotic services, allowing them to regain mobility and dignity.
Transfer back to your hotel.
Overnight in Vientiane.
Breakfast at hotel and free leisure to explore or relax on your own before transfer to the airport for your departure.
