Itinerary
Welcome to Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour of Asia Links Travels!
Start the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta tour in Ho Chi Minh City when the driver picks you up at your hotel. You must take a bus for roughly one and a half hours to get to Cu Chi.
You will see an introductory movie about the tunnels' construction and how Vietnamese people dealt with the difficult circumstances of the war before going underneath.
Explore the remaining areas and tunnel system, which offer unique living quarters with kitchens and bedrooms next to other military facilities like weapons manufacturers, field hospitals, and command centers, aiding whoever lives inside the tunnels in meeting their basic necessities.
For further protection throughout the battle, there are numerous concealed trap doors and perilous traps throughout the maze-like tunnels.
After that, a special tea and cassava (a staple of the insurgents during the conflict) will be served.
Break time.
Next, we’ll visit Cai Be. A boat picks up guests at Hiep Duc - Tan Phong ferry and disembarks from the ship to visit the river.
This is the time for guests to enjoy a real Mekong Delta tour by boat when enjoying the fresh and cool air of the Tien River, admire the surrounding scenery on the island, and visit the garden.
Here guests will hear Uncle 6 introduce the process of growing fruit trees, then guests will pick and enjoy fresh fruits in the garden with Uncle 6.
Goodbye Uncle 6 guests will walk a short way to see more orchards, then experience a three-leaf rowing boat ride along a small brick path through green and fruit-rich orchards.
Next, guests visit Ms. 3's house to see the process of making rice paper rolls, here Ms. 3 will guide guests to make rice cakes by herself, goodbye to Ms. 3, visitors come to Ms. Huong's sugarcane juice shop, where guests are able to enjoy a glass of fresh and nutritious sugarcane juice, guests relax in the hammocks, say goodbye to Ms. Huong, continue to visit Ms. Hai's house and learn how to knit a hammock with banana rope, then go to Ms. Thao's house to learn how to knit water hyacinth, guests can knit themselves a lovely gift with the guidance of Ms. Thao.
Saying goodbye to Ms. Thao, the ship picks up guests and takes them back to the hotel.
Back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and finish the tour.
