As we reach Angkor Ban, you’ll wander through a village that survived the shadows of history to remain a beacon of Khmer kindness.
Culinary (Ship with 'Jayavarman' only): Exclusive to Jayavarman, we visit the home of a former ship’s chef,Mr B. In the intimacy of his family kitchen, you’ll help stir a pot of "Samlor Korko." This isn't just a cooking class; it’s a century-old recipe shared with laughter and duck-egg omelets, a true "soul food" experience. By evening, the lights of Phnom Penh begin to twinkle on the horizon, welcoming us to the "Pearl of the Orient."

Day 4: Phnom Penh - The Pearl of the Orient

Known once as the "Paris of the East," Phnom Penh remains a city of captivating elegance. Your full-day immersion starts with an authentic Cyclo ride through the city’s French Quarter, visiting the Royal Palace and the shimmering Silver Pagoda. 
A visit to the S21 site offers a poignant reflection on Cambodia’s resilience. In the afternoon, the focus turns to the arts at the Champey Academy. Observe young students practicing the intricate movements of the Apsara dance and try your hand at the basic "Kbach" techniques. 
The day culminates in a spectacular Open-air BBQ Gala Dinner, accompanied by a live Apsara performance on deck, followed by an evening at leisure to explore the city's vibrant riverfront.

Day 5: Phnom Penh - Border Crossing - Vietnam

Before departing the capital, join a profound discussion in the lounge with Mr. Sum Rithy, a survivor of the Khmer Rouge era. This rare testimony provides a deeply personal perspective on Cambodia's history. 
As the Jayavarman begins its journey toward the Vietnamese border, it is time to fully embrace "Cruise Mode." The afternoon is dedicated to ultimate relaxation; indulge in a signature treatment at the Apsara Spa, lounge on your private balcony, or join the Head Chef for a Khmer Culinary Workshop. 
As we perform border formalities and enter Vietnam, enjoy a traditional afternoon tea while the bustling life of the Mekong Delta begins to appear on the horizon.

Day 6: Gieng Island - My An Hung - Binh Thanh Island

Start the day with Tai Chi before stepping onto Gieng Island (Mango Island). Wander through lush mango groves to discover a manual incense workshop and a traditional boat-building yard.
Jayavarman Exclusive: Participate in the preparation of “Banh In” with a local familya soft, sweet rice flour treat that is a cornerstone of Vietnamese festival culture. In the afternoon, visit My An Hung, a pristine village that exemplifies the authentic spirit of the Delta.

Day 7: Binh Thanh Island - Tan Phong Island - My Tho

Jayavarman Exclusive: On Tan Phong Island, a local family welcomes you as a cooking apprentice to master Jackfruit Leaf Cakes. From extracting juice from fresh leaves to steaming the cakes in their natural casings, you will experience the soul of Delta cuisine. 
As the ship makes its final downstream journey toward My Tho, the evening is filled with farewell celebrations and the shared stories of a week spent on the mighty Mekong.

Day 8: My Tho - Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)

After a final breakfast aboard your floating sanctuary, it is time to bid farewell to the crew. Disembark at My Tho for a comfortable bus transfer to Saigon. The short journey via the highway brings you into the heart of the city by mid-morning. 
You depart with a wealth of enchanting memories, new friendships, and the timeless stories of the "Lost Civilization" of the Mekong.
