08.00 - 08.30 AM: the English-speaking tour guide and driver will come to pick you up from your hotel. Get ready to embark on an adventure as we head south of Chiang Mai, venturing through picturesque rolling hills, lush forests, and charming local farms (approximately 1.5-hour drive).
10.30 AM: Arrive at the Sanctuary, a haven for rescued elephants. Meet your friendly guide and embark on a short walk (10-15 minutes) through the jungle as you approach the sanctuary.
Don a traditional Karen outfit, adding a touch of local flair to the experience.
11.00 AM: Meet the elephants. Immerse yourself in a unique experience where you can feed, interact with, and even play with elephants in a natural setting.
This opportunity will also shed light on their fascinating behavior and historical facts. Take photos with the elephants.
12.00 PM: Time to refuel. Enjoy a lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh seasonal fruit.
1:00 PM: Get ready to get your hands dirty (in a good way)! Join in a time-honored practice as you learn how to make traditional herbal medicine balls.
Then, feed the elephants and embark on a gentle walk with them to the refreshing river. Bathe and brush these gentle giants if you want a deeper connection!
2:00 PM: Join the elephants for a therapeutic mud spa. Feel free to take a dip in the river and snap some photos with the elephants.
3:00 PM: Slip back into your clothes and bid farewell to the friendly elephants.
3:30 PM: Our sanctuary visit concludes, and we embark on a scenic 1.5-hour journey back to Chiang Mai (approximately 1.5-hour drive).
5:00 - 5:30 PM: Arrive back at your hotel in Chiang Mai, relax, and look forward to the next day’s adventure.
